Charges, Payment Terms & Refund Policy
1. Service Charges
- 
Fees are determined based on complexity, time, and professional expertise. 
- 
Quotes are estimates only and may change if additional work or unforeseen complexities arise. 
- 
Charges apply exclusively to agreed services and are due upon completion, regardless of whether the client files the return. 
2. Payment Terms
- 
All invoices are payable upon receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing. 
- 
Accepted payment methods: E-Transfer, Cheque, or Cash. 
- 
Late Payment Policy: - 
Payments not received within 15 days of invoice date will incur a late fee of 2% per month on the outstanding balance. 
- 
Continued non-payment may result in suspension of services and collection actions.

3. Non-Refundable Policy
- 
All payments are final and non-refundable. 
- 
Fees represent compensation for professional time and expertise, not for the outcome of any tax filing. 
- 
No refunds will be issued once work has commenced or services have been delivered. 
4. Accuracy Commitment
- 
We guarantee accuracy based on the information provided by the client. 
- 
Errors caused by our mistake will be corrected at no additional cost. 
- 
This guarantee excludes: - 
Incomplete or inaccurate client information 
- 
Changes in tax law after filing 
- 
CRA reassessments unrelated to our work 
 
- 
5. Client Obligations
- 
Clients must provide complete, truthful, and timely information. 
- 
VJ Tax & Accounting is not responsible for penalties or interest resulting from client delays or omissions. 
6. CRA Communication
- 
Clients are responsible for CRA correspondence unless a separate engagement for representation is signed. 
- 
We do not assume liability for CRA notices, audits, or third-party communications unless formally retained. 
7. Notice of Assessment
- 
CRA sends the Notice of Assessment directly to the client. 
- 
Retrieval assistance from VJ Tax & Accounting will incur additional charges. 
8. Limitation of Liability
- 
Our liability is limited to correcting errors caused solely by our actions. 
- 
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from tax filings. 
9. Governing Law
- 
This policy is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada. 
Privacy Disclaimer

VJ Tax & Accounting respects your privacy and complies with Canadian privacy laws. 
- 
Personal and financial information provided by clients is used solely for tax preparation and related services.

We do not share, sell, or disclose client information to third parties except: -

Data is stored securely and retained only as long as necessary for compliance and service delivery.
